About: First Step Recovery honors all paths to recovery from drug and alcohol addiction by taking a holistic, patient-centered approach to care. We understand that recovery is a team effort yet, ultimately, an inside job. How do we know this? Because many of our staff are successfully in recovery themselves. That’s why we can say with confidence that we’re not going to heal you, but we’ll be with you every step of the way to help you heal yourself. As a leading drug and alcohol addiction center in northeastern Ohio and one of the tops in the state, First Step Recovery is here to be a constant beacon of light and healing for patients, families and communities affected by the disease of addiction. Through our affiliation with Travco Behavioral Health, our services also encompass treatment for individuals of all ages who are struggling with mental health disorders, as well as addiction (which are often co-occurring). Travco’s evidence-based services include medicine-assisted treatment for substance dependence. Patients come to us through self-referral, family / friend referral and doctor / professional recommendation.
Services: Our integrated approach combines personalized medical, behavioral, clinical and holistic therapies that are proven to work. You are never “on your own.” We see to it.
Upon review by a board-certified physician, you’ll begin your return to wellness with treatment that includes medications for withdrawal relief. These are gently tapered daily to support your symptoms. Our techniques are safe, medically accredited and evidence based. We promise you’ll be comfortable and monitored the entire time. As you work alongside our medical team and compassionate staff, and move into extended care, you’ll be given down time to settle into your new life direction and self-reflect. As you recover, you’ll build your spirit and stamina by taking advantage of our modern gym, dining facilities with nutritious food, or just relaxing in your semi-private room watching TV. You may even make a few new friends and have a little fun. As the days progress, you’ll be given opportunities to talk honestly about what’s been going on and how you feel, and to experience community by meeting people with the same struggle. Through individualized counseling and group therapy with licensed counselors, you’ll be expertly guided as you explore the thoughts, behaviors and motivations behind your addiction. If family counseling is appropriate, you’ll identify enabling patterns and be set free from them through support strategies. We have gender-specific group therapy and, of course, 12-Step recovery meetings. If appropriate, you will successfully progress to outpatient treatment, which features ongoing support into a substance-free lifestyle. We’ll even help you with things like prepping for a job interview or getting your driver’s license through our Peer Support Program.

Livi Steel, Inc. is a 3rd generation, family owned and operated structural steel fabricator in Warren, Ohio. They provide quotes to general contractors for supplying structural steel, joist, deck, misc. metals, detailing, and erection (installation). Of the preceding they subcontract out the supply of the joist, deck, misc. metals and erection. The structural steel Livi Steel fabricates can be described as the “skeleton” of the building which supports the design loads. The types of buildings they fabricate structural steel for include conventional steel structures such as small public service and institutional buildings (schools, etc.), shopping centers, light manufacturing plants, warehouses, sign structures, low rise and truss beam / column structures.
Livi Steel utilizes structural steel shapes including wide flange beams, channels, angles, square tubes, pipe, flat plate and rod supplied by mills or warehouses to fabricate beams (horizontal members) and columns (vertical members). These horizontal members are connected to the vertical members by punching the columns with holes and by welding connection angles with holes to each end of the beams and joining with high strength bolts. Of the fabricated steel we supply it is 100% load bearing.
In addition to the steel, Livi Steel, Inc. also utilizes anchors, fasteners, paint, weld wire, weld rod, oxygen gas and propylene gas. The company’s main goals on every project are quality and safety.

Mahoning County Children Services is the county’s single agency empowered to provide public care and services to children as set forth in Chapter 5153 of the Ohio Revised Code. Public services to children in Ohio began in 1866 with the passage of the Children’s Home Law that enabled counties to build and maintain childcare institutions for dependent and neglected children. In 1946, the passage of the Comprehensive Children Services Act mandated that each county provide social services for children and their families. The Glenwood Children’s Home was Mahoning County’s first publicly run children’s home. This facility was operational from 1900 until 1934. The institution was closed as child welfare practice in Ohio began transition to a foster family care model. In 1935 the trustees of the Glenwood Children’s Home became the Mahoning County Child Welfare Board. In 1946 the State of Ohio passed the Comprehensive Children Services Act, and the agency became the Child Welfare Board, offering foster care and adoptive services. In the mid-sixties the agency became the Children Services Board and began conducting investigations of child abuse and neglect.
