Description:
A great opportunity for an RN who wants to share their long-term care knowledge with students enrolled within the CNA program. The assistant would provide in class instruction and skills training utilizing prepared curriculum and oversee the external clinical experience. Classes run weekdays between the hours of 8:30am to 2:30pm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach assigned CNA classes using effective strategies and principles of adult education.
- Create an environment conducive to learning and student-instructor interaction.
- Prepare students to satisfactorily demonstrate skills prior to performing with patients or residents.
- Will provide direct supervision and observation of all student clinical experience.
- Will develop positive relationships with students to help them become work ready and achieve their training and occupational goals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual must be able to walk, sit, and stand in order to interact with students, personnel, management and other visitors.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The employee will primarily work within a classroom and office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The individual frequently works in a controlled climate.Requirements:
Education and/or Experience – Current, unencumbered Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license with current Train the Trainer certification; documented 3200 hours (approximately 2 years) of nursing experience as a licensed nurse caring for the elderly or chronically ill of any age. Experience may be obtained through employment in a long term care facility, home health agency or hospital providing care to chronically ill. Verification is to be provided on company letterhead and include contact’s name, title and phone number.
Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret written information. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints and respond in a timely, confidential, professional manner. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, through written and oral communication, with diverse students population, peers, the community, and management. Must demonstrate the ability to work in an observation/coaching style environment.
Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. This role requires an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Other Qualifications – Strong communication, documentation, presentation, and organizational skills. Supervisory experience preferred.
About the Job
The Business Account Manager Assistant supports Flying HIGH Inc.’s integrated workforce development services by assisting the Business Manager in developing strong relationships with employers, community partners, and referral sources. This position plays an active role in connecting businesses with Flying HIGH Inc.’s workforce solutions while helping individuals gain the skills, confidence, and employment opportunities needed to succeed.
The ideal candidate is an outgoing, personable, and relationship-driven professional who enjoys meeting new people, building partnerships, and representing Flying HIGH Inc. in the community. This position requires a marketing mindset, strong communication skills, a positive and engaging personality, and a passion for connecting people with opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities Include
- Assist the Business Manager with employer outreach and business development efforts to identify and recruit companies interested in partnering with Flying HIGH Inc.
- Visit and engage with potential employers to introduce Flying HIGH Inc.’s workforce development services and identify opportunities for partnership, recruitment, and employment placement.
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with employers, community organizations, referral sources, and other workforce partners.
- Proactively conduct community outreach to increase awareness of Flying HIGH Inc.’s employment services, training opportunities, and available workforce solutions.
- Assist the Business Manager in identifying employer workforce needs and developing recruitment strategies that connect qualified candidates with employment opportunities.
- Support talent acquisition and recruitment activities, including candidate outreach, employer recruitment, job matching, and coordination of interviews.
- Assist with planning and coordinating job fairs, hiring events, employer information sessions, hiring parties, and other recruitment activities.
- Develop creative and engaging approaches to employer and community outreach using a marketing-oriented mindset.
- Assist clients with developing and improving professional resumes and provide basic instruction on effective resume writing and job-search strategies.
- Help prepare clients for employment by providing guidance on professional communication, interviewing, workplace expectations, and job readiness.
- Represent Flying HIGH Inc. at community events, networking opportunities, employer meetings, and workforce development activities.
- Collaborate closely with the Business Manager, Job Developers, Career Counselors, Case Managers, and other Flying HIGH Inc. staff to connect candidates with appropriate employment opportunities and supportive services.
- Utilize available Flying HIGH Inc. resources to help employers meet their hiring needs and help candidates overcome barriers to employment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of employer outreach, community contacts, recruitment activities, and candidate interactions in Apricot and other applicable systems.
- Follow up with employers and clients to maintain relationships, support successful placements, and identify opportunities for continued partnership.
- Utilize social media platforms to market Flying HIGH Inc.’s activities, employment opportunities, recruitment events, and workforce development services.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Marketing, Business, Human Resources, Workforce Development, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to confidently interact with employers, community members, job seekers, and professional partners.
- Outgoing, personable, and relationship-oriented personality with a genuine enjoyment of meeting and working with people.
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
- Demonstrated marketing mindset with the ability to promote services, identify opportunities, and creatively engage potential partners.
- Strong organizational, follow-up, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
- Comfortable making phone calls, conducting outreach, attending networking events, and visiting businesses and community organizations.

- Valid Ohio driver’s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record.
- Knowledge or experience in workforce development, recruiting, human resources, marketing, sales, social services, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities
- Engage participant in the interactive screening process to identify needs, barriers, and goals.
- Develop effective Customized Employment Plans (CEPs) and/or Recovery to Work Plans (RTWs) to help job seekers overcome employment barriers and obtain the PDC’s BIG 4 or 5.
- Conduct regular meetings with participants to provide support and motivation to assist them in moving forward throughout the progression of the CEP.
- Place job seekers in appropriate employment pathway according to their aptitude.
- Utilize all PDC employment pathways as needed to help job seekers develop needed technical and life skills to successfully obtain and maintain good-paying career employment (WTYF, Merit-based employment, Dual-employment, Direct employment).
- Effectively place job seekers into PDC’s enrichment/educational workshops to prepare them for employment.
- Effectively utilize financial support services to help job seekers overcome employment barriers.
- Ensure that participants have successfully overcome initial barriers and are prepared to be placed into the employment pool.
- Input all required information and client data into PDC’s case management system regularly and by due dates.
- Will engage in community outreach to inform participants and partners of services provided by the PDC
- Will be based at primary location with willingness to work out of alternate PDC offices (Youngstown/Salem/Warren)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field or two years’ relevant work experience.

- Demonstrate the empathy necessary for working with diverse population (adults with history of SUD, criminal backgrounds)

Description:
Flying HIGH, Inc. is seeking a CDCA or person with 2 years lived experience with Men’s Recovery Housing to oversee the daily operations of two Recovery Houses, providing a safe living environment for males in recovery from substance abuse disorders. The House Manager will work with individuals seeking housing, case managers, and clinical treatment staff who are dedicated to supporting residents so they can achieve success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitation of occupancy and availability of openings for houses.
- Review applications for housing and determine appropriateness for the residency approval process.
- Enforcement of all house rules and residency agreements while overseeing house operations.
- Engaging clients and establishing professional relationships in order to promote recovery, assist in motivation of residents, and guide residents in establishment or attainment of work readiness, vocational and occupational goals.
- Will ensure regular drug screens and house inspections to maintain sober living environment.
- Will maintain ongoing communication/collaboration and partner with team members to ensure positive resident outcomes.
- To foster an interdisciplinary approach, participate in scheduled staffing’s to ensure best outcomes for resident.
- Will maintain timely, confidential, and accurate documentation as required.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current, valid Ohio Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant certification
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in sober living home management or in an SUD treatment role
- Knowledge and experience with ORH certification is preferred
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and clean driving record
Post employment civilian background check and post-offer drug testing are required
